Jo-an DeSell
Jo-an was born in Chevy Chase, MD and grew up on a waterfront property in the town of Annapolis. Enjoying the waterfront life, she took to boating, fishing swimming and waterskiing. But her real love came years later when she discovered horses and riding.
After the purchase of her first horse, Jo-an began competing in Hunter, Jumper and Equitation shows an with great success decided to go into the horse business. Jo-an opened her first barn in 1969 that specialized in training, instruction and boarding and operated it over the next 30 years. Additionally, she judged 20 Hunter/Jumper and Equitation shows annually over the course of her professional career.
In 1986, this career drew her to Southern Pines, NC because of the world renown Walthour Moss Foundation, including land over 4,000 acres for all disciplines to access riding/driving enjoyment. She wintered for the next thirteen years in Southern Pines before making it her permanent residence in January of 2000.
Eventually retiring from the horse business and moving to the “Horse Country” of Southern Pines, Jo-an designed and built her current residence, where she was allowed to maintain her love of horses as well as explore her second passion…..Real Estate.
After acquiring her Real Estate license in 2000, Jo-an has helped hundreds of buyers and sellers acquire and sell property, enabling them to progress with their dreams and future. Besides owning investment property consisting of commercial, raw land and rental homes, she is knowledgeable and informed about a wide range of real estate allowing her to help clients with their investment and 1031 Tax Exchange properties. Jo-an is considered a "hands-on" Broker, that will keep you informed from the beginning of your experience to the end.

Audrey Wiggins
Audrey grew up riding and training horses in the sport of Eventing in Ocala, Fl. After graduating with a BS degree in Sports Medicine from St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, NC, she moved permanently to Moore County. Audrey currently lives on her Spook Hill Farm in Carthage, NC where she runs a small breeding and boarding operation and trains her future event horse, Delp's Final Formula, aka 'Oliver'. She is a graduate HA pony clubber and is also the current United States Eventing Association Area II Junior/ Young Rider Coordinator. Her intimate knowledge of horses, riders and their specific needs, allows her to be highly attuned to the individual needs of her horse property clientele.
Audrey, also a licensed NC Residential Contractor and NC Water Lines and Sewer Contractor, works with several premier builders in Moore County. In her 9 years of experience, Audrey has successfully worked with all types of buyers and sellers, including New Construction, Golf properties, Horse Farms and Land.
Teaming up with Jo-an and DeSell and Company, this energetic team offers expertise beyond that of your typical Real Estate team, specializing in and truly understanding the dynamics of real estate in the Southern Pines area.

Julie Pressley
Julie grew up alongside her sister Audrey in Ocala, Florida. She spent most of her childhood riding horses and playing golf. In 1999 Julie graduated from Wingate University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. When she is not working, Julie enjoys designing home décor and traveling with her husband.
Over the course of 10 years she managed a medical office as well as her own retail boutique. She has highly developed skills in business operations and marketing. Julie joined DeSell & Company Realty Group in December of 2011. Her creativity and attention to detail ensure clients receive unparalleled quality in promoting their property and home. Her enthusiasm and commitment provide outstanding support to the DeSell & Company team for the ultimate client experience.
